2 – remove any bookmarks to the page
3 – search for www.mapesmillport.co.uk then click and save individually each camera in use and bookmark for future viewing
4 – enjoy the views
Both cameras work best on Google Chrome, DuckDuckGo, Bing and will often run into issues with Safari.
This camera should never be down for any length of time as we pay for it to be streamed, if it is not working after the above please let us know
Our Millport webcams are provided as a free service for locals, visitors, businesses, ferry users and everyone who loves keeping an eye on the island.
We absolutely love being able to share live views of Millport and Cumbrae, but the computers that keep the webcams running are now coming to the end of their working life. We are having more and more issues keeping the cameras online, and it is becoming harder to maintain a reliable service.
To keep the webcams running properly, we now need to replace the two desktop units that power the system. These will need to run the most up-to-date version of Windows and be reliable enough to keep the cameras operating day after day.
At first look, replacing both units is likely to cost around £1,000 in total.
We completely understand that the webcams are a free service, and there is absolutely no obligation to contribute. However, if you enjoy using the webcams, check them before travelling, watch the weather, look for the ferry, or simply like seeing what is happening in Millport, any small contribution would genuinely help us keep them going.
